Fundraise with your group, sports club, school or workplace

Are you a member of a group or club? How about working together to raise funds for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland? There are many ways you can raise funds through self-organised events or by nominating us as charity of the year/month. Alternatively you can challenge your members or colleagues to enter one of our CHSS events or local run or walk and set up a bit of healthy inter-group competition!

Some examples of groups that currently fundraise for us are:

  • Round Tables, Rotary Clubs, Masons, Inner Wheel and Ladies Circles
  • Boys Brigade, Girls Brigade, Scouts and Guides
  • Bowling Clubs, Golf Clubs and other sporting groups
  • Church groups and Guilds
  • Workplaces
  • Schools, Universities and Colleges
  • Choirs and music groups

How we can help you:

We are happy to support your fundraising whatever it is, just get in touch with your regional fundraising advisor or visit our useful resources area for more information about the fundraising materials and literature about the work of the charity we can provide. If your event is open to the public we can also publicise it on our events diary and Facebook pages and we can work with you to help with press releases to your local paper or radio.

Often we can organise a speaker to attend your group or event and where possible can attend a cheque presentation once you have finished your fundraising.

How others support CHSS

Schools Fundraising

Thank you to all the schools across Scotland who have supported us through their charity of the year schemes or their one-off events and activities.

If you are a teacher you can support CHSS via our Active Expressions programme. Active Expressions is Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland’s unique and innovative way of promoting fitness and health education to schools all over Scotland. We offer a choice of 4 cardiovascular based activity sessions - Hip Hop your Heart, Work Out and Beat It, Cardio Hoop and B Ball Beat. It's a great way to help improve fitness and raise funds for CHSS.

Thanks to Miller Academy in Thurso who took part in an Active Expressions day in aid of CHSS and raised £1,629.93.

“A big thank you to CHSS for all your help in organising this event for us. All classes had a great time and enjoyed their Work Out & Beat It sessions.” Loanhead Primary School

Over 50 students also took part in the Ultimate Abseil along with their mascot Rory the Lion.
